Message from the Principal

Welcome to the 2017-2018 School Year!

As I begin my fourth year as the Iron Forge Elementary School principal, it makes me so happy to tell you that the construction vehicles have left the parking lot! I look forward introducing you all to our newest spaces and the main office.

This year we welcome the third and fourth grade students and their families to IFES. We are excited to have you and look forward to acclimating you all to the building and the great things that are happening here. Welcome back all of our rising 5th grade students and their families! We have a lot of learning and growing to do together this year.

The staff at IFES, and I, are dedicated to working with students and their families as a team so that each child has the opportunity to perform to his/her greatest potential. Together, we will strive to create a safe learning environment in which this can happen.

I encourage you, the families of IFES, to be as involved in this educational journey as possible, as your support is extremely important to your child’s success.

We are lucky to have a very active PTO here at Iron Forge. The South Middleton PTO serves all elementary students (Grades K – 5), by sponsoring activities like the annual May fair, Breakfast with Santa, and the Secret Santa Shop. The PTO also generously provides financial support when needed for things like classroom activities and field trips. The PTO is a great way to get involved and in-the-know with what’s going on at school.

I welcome the opportunity to tell you more about all the wonderful things going on here at IFES. Please feel free to contact me if you would like more information or have questions in regard to the upcoming school year.

I am thrilled to be a part of the IFES team and I look forward to a safe, healthy, and successful 2017-2018 school year for all of our students!

Mrs. Trisha Reed, Principal
