Message from the Principal

Welcome to the 2016-2017 School Year!

As I begin my third year as the Iron Forge Elementary School principal, it makes me so happy to tell you all that we are on the home stretch of the construction and renovation project! I look forward introducing you all to our newest instructional spaces and cafeteria.

Welcome back all of our rising 5thgrade students and their families! Welcome to all of our new 4thgrade students and their families as well. We have a lot of learning and growing to do together this year.

The staff at IFES,and I, are dedicated to working with students and their families as a team so that each child has the opportunity to perform to his/her greatest potential. Together, we will strive to create a safe learning environment in which this can happen.

I encourage you, the families of IFES, to be as involved in this educational journey as possible, as your support is extremely important to your child’s success.

We are lucky to have a very active PTO here at Iron Forge. The South Middleton PTO serves all elementary students (Grades K – 5), by sponsoring activities like the annual school fair, Breakfast with Santa, and the Secret Santa Shop. The PTO also generously provides financial support when needed for things like classroom activities and field trips. The PTO is a great way to get involved and in-the-know with what’s going on at school.

I welcome the opportunity to tell you more about all the wonderful things going on here at IFES. Please feel free to contact me if you would like more information or have questions in regards to the upcoming school year.

I am thrilled to be a part of the IFES team and I look forward to a safe, healthy, and successful 2016-2017 school year for all of our students!

Sincerely,

Trisha Reed, Principal
