Iron Forge Belief Statement

  • We believe that children learn by repeated multi-sensory experiences that are attainable, challenging, and authentic.
  • We believe that the teacher is a facilitator for learning, who motivates, encourages, and is a role model.  The teacher provides opportunities that guide children to pose questions, to seek answers, and to enjoy the process of learning.
  • We believe that our school is a respectful, caring environment with clear academic and behavioral expectations where our children are challenged but not afraid to fail.
  • We believe that great teaching doesn’t simply meet curriculum requirements, but is the development of a relationship between students, teachers, and families resulting in a life-long love for learning.
  • We believe that the learning process is a collaborative effort between students, teachers, and families, each with a responsibility for its success.
